Honoring Student Achievement is a cornerstone of the Optimist philosophy!
In New Windsor we have adopted Heritage Junior High School (HJHS) for our Student of the Month (SOM) program. Faculty members from the HJHS 7th grade select a SOM each month of the school year to be our guest award recipients at our January and June meetings.
Students are selected for their demonstrated potential to be a source of ongoing encouragement to their peers, families, teachers, and community!
